Mechanical Assembler

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Clearwater, Florida for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will perform hands-on mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment using hand tools, engineering drawings, and detailed work instructions.

Required Skills

• 1+ year of professional experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Understanding of CCA and mechanical assembly processes and production flow.

• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, specifications, and detailed work instructions.

• Proficiency using hand tools.

• Strong manual dexterity.

• Basic computer proficiency.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work accurately in a production environment.

Preferred Skills

• Previous aerospace, defense, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.

• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or assembly problems.

• Experience operating automated manufacturing equipment.

• Experience with SAP, Solumina, or similar manufacturing systems.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

What You’ll Do

• Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools and established manufacturing processes.

• Assemble components in accordance with drawings, diagrams, specifications, and work instructions.

• Support CCA and mechanical assembly production activities.

• Follow established production flow and quality requirements.

• Identify assembly issues and support troubleshooting and corrective actions.

• Use computerized manufacturing systems to support production activities.

• Learn and apply new tools, equipment, processes, and technical requirements as needed.

• Collaborate with production and manufacturing team members to meet schedule and quality objectives.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Monday–Thursday

• 5:00 AM–3:30 PM

• Weekend overtime may be available.

Pay

• $20.00–$25.00 per hour.
