The Mechanical Assembler “B” is responsible for the disassembly and reassembly of various HVAC equipment including refrigeration piping, electrical conduits and cabling. The Mechanical Assembler “B” must be able to perform his/her responsibilities effectively with moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, move, and modify related equipment according to the job order specifications, standards, and procedures
Read and interpret engineering drawings and/or product schematics
- Complete training/internship with mentor – SME (Subject Matter Expert), Lead Mechanic or Supervisor
- Route and install electrical cables
Route and install refrigerant piping, and solder per requirements
- Route and install instrument air piping
Mount and align electric motors and bearings
- Mount compressors on HVAC unit
Install labels
Mount major HVAC components on skids
- Completes assigned tasks within the allotted hours with minimum to no rework
Active participant of DWD Safety Program
- Maintainssafe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Operates forklift to transport supplies and equipment
- And all other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge Required
2 years minimum of HVAC experience – either routing and installing electrical conduits and circuits, routing and installing refrigerant piping and soldering, routing and installing instrument air piping, or routing and install chilled piping - preferred
- 2 years minimum in custom manfucaturing, industrial equipment repair, or facility maintenance
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Must be able to operate forklift
- Must be able to operate hand tools (e.g. screwdrivers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, and drills)
Must provide own tools – basic mechanic set
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English
