Join our team in Cortland, OH, as a Mechanical Assembly II! We are seeking experienced, dependable individuals who are ready to contribute to a leading metals production company. If you have a strong work ethic and relevant experience, this full-time role offers steady work and weekly pay.
Hours
Monday - Friday
7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Pay
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Support Bay 3 Machine Assembly operations, including disassembly and assembly of machinery and mechanical components
Perform tasks such as staging, cleaning, inspecting, welding, torching, and painting
Handle material movement and assist in other organizational areas as needed
Assemble parts, sub-assemblies, and complete units
Work with heavy parts, electro-mechanical, structural, instrument, air/hydraulic piping, and plastic parts
Ensure proper fits, clearances, finishes, limits, and lubrication according to assembly techniques
Utilize hand tools, small power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers
Operate heavy lifting equipment, including cranes and forklifts, with rigging as required
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
2-3 years of related experience in mechanical assembly or a similar role
Certified crane and forklift operation (preferred)
Experience with hand tools and power tools
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
Preferred Education and Experience
Blueprint reading skills
Mechanical inclination and background in hydraulic systems a plus
Experience in assembly of mechanical and structural products
Knowledge of machine assembly techniques and precision measurement
