Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the concept, design, detailing, and documentation of robotic work cells, industrial automation equipment, and related machinery. This role works closely with engineering teams and customers to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions while supporting projects from concept through implementation.

Description

  • Design and develop robotic work cells and industrial automation equipment.
  • Create detailed mechanical designs, assemblies, and engineering documentation.
  • Design equipment modifications, enhancements, and custom solutions.
  • Develop pneumatic system designs and select electrical sensors and components.
  • Perform engineering calculations to validate system and component designs.
  • Create functional, cost-effective designs that meet customer requirements and project timelines.
  • Develop customer proposals for robotic and automation systems.
  • Maintain project documentation, drawings, and engineering records.
  • Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with customers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders throughout project execution.
  • Stay current on new technologies, products, and industry trends.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer support.

Profile

A successful Mechanical Design Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience designing industrial automation equipment.
  • Experience designing robotic work cells and automated machinery.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and other 3D CAD software.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles, machine design, and automation systems.
  • Experience with pneumatics and industrial component selection.
  • Strong engineering calculation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
