Requirements
Job Summary:
The Mechanical Drafter is a key member of the Engineering Department, collaborating with engineers and other teams to improve Euroline's products. This role develops and maintains design standards that support accurate, consistent, and robust designs while ensuring Production has the information needed to manufacture high-quality windows and doors.
Essential Functions:
- Reverse engineer components and assemblies from physical samples.
- Build 3D models with design intent, fully defined sketches, global variables, configurations, and equations.
- Create and maintain BOMs, part numbers, and drawing revisions.
- Model 3D objects from 2D content.
- Capture 3D model geometry using hand metrology equipment: calipers, tape measures, thread gages, etc.
- Identify, resolve, or question discrepancies as necessary and report to the manager.
- Comprehend vendor product specifications.
- Produce drawings using SolidWorks/DraftSight.
- Create and respond to emails using Outlook regarding drafting projects.
- Create drafting library content.
- Support the Drafting team as an overflow resource based on workload and project needs.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience with 2D modeling software (DraftSight or AutoCAD).
- Weldment knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Able to interpret instructions both written and oral.
- Able to work in a team with co-workers to resolve work-related issues.
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and champion them through to completion.
- ·Very high dgree of thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Able to understand and execute detailed written and verbal instructions.

- Able to create quality library content.
- Knowledgeable in Fenestration, Architecture, or Manufacturing.
- Experience with PDM is a plus.
- Sheet metal or machining process knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- AA degree or equivalent of 3 years of education and experience combined as a CAD drafter is required.
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work, including sitting most of the time, with occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force.
- Talking: Must be able to convey detailed or important spoken instructions accurately.
- Hearing: Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Work Environment:
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, such as in typical office or administrative work.
Salary Description
$24.00 - $32.00 Hourly
