TITLE: MECHANICAL ENGINEER Location: Englewood, CO (Onsite role) Pay Rate: $59 per hour Duration: 12+ Month Contract Summary:
Our aerospace and defense client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and integration of advanced mechanical structures and systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace technologies, including aircraft, mission payloads, and space exploration systems. Description Mechanical Engineer:
Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve advanced mechanical products and systems.
Design and develop complex mechanical structures, components, and integrated systems.
Support mechanical engineering activities throughout the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through manufacturing and production.
Utilize Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools to develop and optimize mechanical designs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on product design, development, and integration.
Apply engineering principles to evaluate mechanical performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Support mechanical design improvements, technical problem-solving, and product development initiatives.
Contribute to the development of advanced aerospace and defense technologies, including aircraft systems, electronic systems, and space exploration platforms.
Qualifications Mechanical Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
Typically 6+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
Strong practical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and design methodologies.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary design and development teams.
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5 preferred.
Experience with engineering simulation tools, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and thermal analysis preferred.
Previous experience in the aerospace and defense industry preferred.
Knowledge of parametric design, model-based definition, material and hardware selection, and manufacturing processes preferred.
Familiarity with mechanical product development, production processes, and industry-standard design practices.
Ability to perform routine physical activities, including walking, sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and repetitive hand and finger movements.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 20 lbs.
