We are seeking Mechanical Engineer for an established manufacturing company in Fitchburg, MA. The main responsibilities will be to design, develop, test, and improve electro-mechanical products from concept through production, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure quality, functionality, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for electro-mechanical products.
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Develop prototypes, perform testing, and refine designs based on results.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure products meet customer requirements.
- Apply GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards to engineering drawings.
- Select appropriate materials and components based on performance, durability, and cost.
- Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders, and technical documentation.
- Support production teams with troubleshooting, design improvements, and manufacturing challenges.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding design requirements and project updates.
- Assist with tooling, fixtures, and product improvements to support efficient manufacturing.
