    We are interested in internship projects in the area of mechanical design, materials selection, product development and hands-on production process optimization.

    Required set of skills & experiences:

    We are looking for motivated students in mechanical design, industrial design or similar, with an interest in assembly and production of scientific equipment. Mechanical engineering internship openings are available throughout the year for EU citizens or applicants who are able to work legally in the Netherlands. Familiarity with the following tools is considered valuable:

    • Production: 3D printing, metal forming, laser cutting
    • Design: Autodesk, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Creative Cloud

    What can you expect from us?

    We offer a paid internship in an inspiring environment with a dedicated team of scientists and engineers at the forefront of quantum technology. Orange QS is a spin-off of QuTech that accelerates the research on quantum physics and the development of quantum technology for quantum computing. We support R&D labs with custom characterization and calibration software and develop customized characterization equipment for R&D into quantum computing.
