gpac partners with well established commercial mechanical contractors in the St. Louis market performing HVAC, plumbing and piping work on commercial and industrial projects.

About the Role

The Mechanical Estimator prepares estimates for HVAC, plumbing and process piping work as part of a preconstruction team.

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs and build cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors

• Review drawings and specifications for HVAC, plumbing and process piping scopes

• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing

• Prepare bid packages and proposals

• Identify value engineering opportunities

• Hand off awarded work to project management

Required

• 3+ years of mechanical estimating experience

• Ability to read drawings, specifications and bid documents

• Understanding of mechanical construction methods, materials and pricing

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management

• QuickPen, Autobid or similar estimating software

• Bluebeam

Compensation and Benefits

• $85,000 to $115,000, based on experience
