Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for preserving the excellent condition and functionality of all machinery and production equipment. Maintenance tasks such are electrical, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical repairs are expected to be performed in an efficient andeffedftive manner, along with observing all health and safety quidlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Strictly follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
· Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machines
· Perform minor and major overhauls to equipment by completely disassembling, repairing, and reassembling equipment to proper operation conditions
· Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting equipment utilizing diagnostic equipment and programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) as necessary
· Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances
· Participate in new equipment installations by interfacing with equipment vendors, contractors, and assisting engineers
· Testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, and voltmeters to ensure proper operation and safety of system
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Flexible, performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
* Work inside without air conditioning and outside in all weather conditions
* Work in hot and cold, dusty, greasy, and noisy environments
* Able to stand and walk around all day
* Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and bending regularly
* Must be able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds of material
Other Skills/Abilities
* Ability to be cross-trained to assist skilled Maintenance personnel
