Position Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a mechanically inclined Equipment Repair Technician to join a growing team in Burgettstown, PA. This full-time, first-shift position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and preparing rental equipment and machinery for customer use. The ideal candidate enjoys working with tools, diagnosing mechanical issues, and performing hands-on repairs in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, inspect, and prepare rental equipment and machinery while ensuring all equipment remains safe, functional, and ready for customer use.

Expected Results

Maintain equipment reliability and safety by completing repairs efficiently, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring equipment is properly prepared for delivery and operation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and reassemble rental equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems.
• Perform equipment maintenance, mechanical assembly, and repairs using hand and power tools.
• Inspect equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Follow work orders and written or verbal instructions.
• Load, unload, move, organize, and stage equipment for delivery.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed.
• Deliver rental and sales orders using company vehicles.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections, including checking oil and fuel levels.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Report equipment or vehicle concerns to the Warehouse Foreman.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to safely lift, move, load, and unload equipment and materials.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Forklift experience strongly preferred.

Experience Required

Previous experience in equipment repair, mechanical maintenance, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, machinery repair, or a related mechanical field preferred.

Skills Required

Mechanical troubleshooting, equipment repair, preventative maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge, tool usage, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Qualities Required

Dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining a strong work ethic.

Work Environment

Work in a hands-on industrial and warehouse environment repairing, maintaining, organizing, and preparing rental equipment for customer use. This position involves both shop work and occasional local deliveries.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, load, and move equipment and materials safely.
• Ability to work with machinery, tools, and equipment in an active shop environment.

Equipment Used

Hand tools, power tools, forklifts, material-handling equipment, rental machinery, hydraulic equipment, pneumatic systems, hoists, delivery vehicles, and related industrial equipment.

Travel Requirements

Limited local travel required for equipment deliveries and customer orders using company vehicles.

Compensation

• $23.00 per hour
