Mechanical Piping & Plumbing Designer

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Piping & Plumbing Designer to join their growing engineering and design team. This position will focus on commercial and industrial piping/plumbing system design, coordination, and project support within a collaborative team environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate mechanical piping and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects
• Develop detailed construction drawings and layouts
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and field teams throughout project execution
• Perform equipment and piping layouts using AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, or related software platforms
• Assist with project coordination, clash detection, and model reviews
• Support project documentation, submittals, and revisions
• Coordinate with other trades and disciplines to ensure project accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Piping and/or Plumbing Design required
• Experience with commercial and/or industrial projects preferred
• Proficiency with:
• • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • Plant 3D
  • CADWorx
  • Navisworks
  • Bluebeam
    (or similar platforms)
• Understanding of piping systems, plumbing systems, and construction coordination
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Process piping or heavy industrial experience is a plus
