Description

SUMMARY: WinTec Arrowmaker, Inc. is a defense contractor dedicated to providing outstanding program management, engineering, logistics, and operations support to Department of Defense customers. The Mechanical/ Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, producing, and testing of various mechanical and electromechanical systems. These systems include GPS tracking devices, shock sensors, and other prototype devices developed for government and experimental testing. The Mechanical/ Systems Engineer will work under the direction of the WinTec Arrowmaker’s Technical Project Manager.

Travel is a requirement (approximately 20-30%).

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a STEM discipline.
  • 5 - 6+ years’ experience in Mechanical Engineer and/or System Engineer.
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
  • Basic understanding of Window and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Understanding of basic network principles.
  • Experience with soldering.

  

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Military background or familiarity with military command and control structures.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the organizational interface of military, federal, state, and local agencies. 
  • Demonstrate time management, problem-solving skills, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to efficiently react to shifting program requirements and work in a team environment.
  • Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.



 

SECURITY CLEARANCE:  Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.


LOCATION:  This is a full-time position, located in Tampa, FL.
