POSITION: Mechanical Technician
Company: A private equity-backed midstream operator based in Dallas, TX
Location: Hobbs, NM (live within about 1 hour of Hobbs for callouts)
Schedule: Salaried, one home site (not a rotation); callout response required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Mechanical maintenance on natural gas gathering and processing compression equipment, with hands-on work on 3500 and 3600 series compression. You'll join a team of three technicians under a hands-on, easygoing manager who knows the equipment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Troubleshoot and repair natural gas engines and compressors
- Perform preventive maintenance and major overhauls on engines and compressors
- Change compressor suction/discharge valves, gaskets, filters, lubricants, gauges and control valves
- Support startups and shutdowns; keep compressors running at high availability
- Record mic readings and work orders in the maintenance system (Brightly)

WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3-5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience in oil and gas
- Hands-on experience with 3500 and 3600 series equipment
- Midstream experience preferred
- Independent, dependable and naturally mechanically inclined
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
