Job Details- Position: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN)

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
- Schedule Notes: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Charting System: Meditech
- Floating: May float within facility Med/Surg areas as needed
- Unit Size: 12 beds
- Patient Ratio: 5-6 patients per nurse
Job Requirements- Active RN license
- At least 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Strong team-oriented, compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively in a busy acute care hospital environment
- Comfortable using Meditech or similar electronic health record systems
- Willingness to support weekend coverage and floating as needed
Responsibilities- Provide safe, high-quality bedside nursing care to Med/Surg patients
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and communicate updates to the interdisciplinary care team
- Administer medications and perform nursing interventions according to standards of practice
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to promote positive patient outcomes
- Maintain a calm, compassionate, and professional presence with patients and families
- Support unit flow and contribute to a positive team environment on a brand-new medical-surgical unit
