We are seeking a Media Relations Coordinator to join our Operation Christmas Child team in Boone, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan''s Purse are to help people in Jesus'' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Media Relations Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
Build awareness for Operation Christmas Child by pitching stories and securing media coverage across digital, print, television, and radio outlets nationwide, helping share how God is working through the ministry.
Coordinate media interviews for OCC speakers, volunteers, and staff, providing contacts, scheduling details, interview preparation, key resources, and approved messaging to help communicate the ministry''s mission effectively.
Monitor and engage across social media channels, responding to comments and direct messages with Christ-centered care while following approved guidelines and messaging.
Coordinate media assets, deliverables, partner requests, and invoicing while maintaining accurate media databases, lists, reports, budgets, and production requests.
Develop and monitor media coverage reports and support year-end data requests, using insights and reporting to strengthen OCC''s communications efforts and expand the ministry''s reach.

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor''s degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university; and one(1) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make cold calls, writing and proofread content, and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style
Experience with managing or using social media platforms, including Instagram, X, and Facebook
Ability to coach and train volunteers and staff to speak confidently and effectively with media outlets
