Location: Long Island City, NY 11102

Shift: Day | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5x8 Hours | 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $18–$19/hr

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture, EKGs, vital signs, specimen collection, and POC testing.

• Escort patients and assist with patient flow, transfers, and dressing as needed.

• Assist physicians with procedures and prepare examination rooms.

• Maintain patient records, charts, and medical documentation.

• Enter physician orders into the EMR.

• Prepare prescription refill requests for physician review.

• Schedule appointments, procedures, and surgeries.

• Update patient demographic and insurance information.

• Assist with insurance verification and pre-certification.

• Inventory and restock medical supplies.

• Follow sterilization, infection-control, PPE, and safety procedures.

• Maintain required clinical and equipment logs.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant certificate course.

• Medical Assistant certificate from an approved school.

• AHA BLS/BCLS certification required.

• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.

• Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required.

• EMR experience required.

• Knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• English required; Spanish preferred.
