Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient healthcare setting. The role includes patient care, phlebotomy, EKGs, scheduling, specimen collection, and EMR management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, specimen collection, and POC testing.

• Room patients and assist with patient flow.

• Support physicians with clinical procedures.

• Manage patient records, physician orders, referrals, and prescription refill requests.

• Schedule appointments and register patients.

• Verify insurance information.

• Prepare examination rooms and maintain sterilization and infection-control procedures.

• Maintain medical supplies and perform expiration-date checks.

• Maintain required clinical logs and documentation.

• Communicate professionally with patients and healthcare staff.

• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Candidate Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant certificate course.

• Medical Assistant certification required.

• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

• AHA BLS certification required.

• Epic experience required.

• Venipuncture and phlebotomy experience required.

• EKG experience required.

• Patient care and specimen collection experience required.

• Strong communication and computer skills.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
