Busy medical office in Bellmore is seeking dedicated professionals to join our Patient Care Team. We need positive, versatile, detail-oriented individuals who are willing to grow and have the desire to positively impact people's lives.


The Certified Medical Assistant must provide support to providers, demonstrate outstanding patient care, and maintain a clean work environment.


Responsibilities include:


  • Verifying patient demographic information and accurately documenting reason for visit
  • Performing patient vitals including height, weight and screening procedures such as vision testing and audiometry, entering information into EMR software
  • Accurately documenting patient health information and findings as dictated by Providers
  • Adhering to infection control protocol; hand hygiene, equipment disinfection/ sterilization, and use of Personal Protective Equipment
  • Performing phlebotomy and electrocardiograms as directed by providers
  • Collecting specimens, completing requisitions, properly labeling and routing specimens to appropriate lab vendors
  • Preparing patients for in-house exams/ procedures, i.e. - EKG's, pelvic exams and assisting providers with special set-ups and procedures when needed
  • Properly using lab equipment, performing calibrations as needed. QC/ QA medical inventory.
  • Maintaining orderly examination rooms by preparing, restocking, and disinfecting rooms according to standard
  • Other Medical Assistant related duties
Requirements:


High School Diploma or Equivalent


Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistance Program


Excellent Communication (oral and written) and Customer Service prowess


Computer Proficiency and knowledge of EMR systems a PLUS


Bilingual in Spanish and English a PLUS
