We are seeking a dependable and adaptable Full-Time Floater Medical Assistant (Bilingual Spanish/English) to support our providers and clinical teams throughout the Valley Region, including Tarzana, Mission Hills, Glendale, and Burbank. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care across multiple clinic locations.

As a Floater Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless clinical operations by providing coverage where needed, assisting physicians with patient care, and creating a positive experience for every patient. Flexibility, strong communication skills, and a team-first attitude are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
Travel between Valley Region clinics (Tarzana, Mission Hills, Glendale, and Burbank) to provide clinical support as needed.
Welcome and room patients while delivering exceptional customer service.
Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and chief complaints.
Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider evaluations and procedures.
Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
Administer injections, immunizations, and other prescribed treatments while adhering to clinical safety standards.
Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and other clinical duties as assigned.
Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Coordinate referrals, prescription refill requests, laboratory testing, and diagnostic imaging as needed.
Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms while following OSHA and infection control protocols.
Communicate fluently in both Spanish and English to support patients and families throughout their care experience.
Collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic operations across all locations.
Adapt quickly to different providers, workflows, and clinic environments while maintaining a consistently high level of patient care.

Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office or outpatient healthcare setting preferred.
Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written) is required.
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred or required based on state regulations.
Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
Experience with patient intake, administering injections, assisting with procedures, and documenting in an EMR.
Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, infection control, and HIPAA regulations.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and remain flexible while working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between Valley Region clinic locations (Tarzana, Mission Hills, Glendale, and Burbank).
