The Medical Assistant supports the practice within a multidisciplinary healthcare organization. Responsibilities include patient intake, clinical and laboratory support, diagnostic testing, EMR documentation, and assisting providers in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities
Manage patient intake and document information accurately
Collect and process laboratory specimens, including venipuncture
Record patient vital signs and prepare patients for exams/procedures
Assist physicians during examinations and office procedures
Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing
Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment
Support EMR documentation and provider/staff workflows
Medical Assistant Qualifications
Medical Assistant Certificate; High School Diploma required
Current BLS Certification
1+ year outpatient or lab experience
Experience with EMR systems
