Position: Float Medical Assistant / Medical Receptionist

Location: East Office, FLOAT to other practices.

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Our client is a very busy medical clinic, with sites all over the Greater Indianapolis area.  

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Float Medical Assistant / Medical Receptionist to join our team at our East Office location. This position will require the individual to perform both medical assistant and medical receptionist duties, providing support to multiple departments and physicians as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner

- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients

- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member

- Check patients in and update their information in the electronic medical records system

- Assist with patient registration and insurance verification

- Collect and process payments from patients

- Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient exams as needed

- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and collecting specimens

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office and exam rooms

- Follow all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and safety

- Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant and/or Medical Receptionist

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems

- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
