UPMC Childrens Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support the office in RIDC Park and Natrona Heights. Weekend availability required to support the hours of operation. Pediatric experience preferred. Rate and Title will be determined based on education and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform vitals and labs, assist with exams and procedures, document patient data, and relay care instructions. • Prepare and clean exam rooms, maintain equipment, and manage supply inventory. • Schedule appointments, confirm insurance, update patient records, and manage documentation. • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and state health regulations; maintain confidentiality and clinical competencies. • Support patients with mobility, specimen collection, and provide education as needed. • Administer injections and vaccines under physician supervision, following safety protocols.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. • Prior pediatric office experience strongly preferred. • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology. • Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: • CPR certification within 30 days of hire. • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) • Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
