About This Job As a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, you serve as a vital link between patients and our healthcare team. You provide essential support, ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering compassionate patient care. Your work directly impacts patient well-being, contributing to a positive and efficient healthcare experience. You play a crucial role in preparing patients for examinations, assisting providers, and managing critical clinical tasks, all while upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism. Job Duties and Responsibilities Prepares examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for patient visits.Welcomes patients, takes and accurately records Vital Signs, and updates patient histories.Provides direct Patient Care support, assisting with procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety.Performs Phlebotomy procedures skillfully and efficiently, ensuring proper sample collection and handling.Administers medications as directed by providers, following established protocols for Medication Administration.Operates and performs ECG/EKG tests, preparing patients and ensuring accurate readings.Maintains meticulous Clinical Documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR), ensuring all patient information is accurate, complete, and timely.Adheres strictly to Infection Control protocols, maintaining a sterile environment and preventing the spread of pathogens.Ensures full HIPAA Compliance in all interactions and documentation, protecting patient privacy and confidentiality.Communicates effectively using precise Medical Terminology with patients, families, and healthcare team members.Manages patient flow efficiently, reducing wait times and optimizing clinic schedules.Educates patients on basic health information, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions. Required Qualifications Education Completes a high school diploma or equivalent.Possesses current Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program. Experience Demonstrates experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an outpatient environment.Applies practical knowledge of patient care procedures and clinic operations. Knowledge/Skills Proficiently uses Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for documentation and record management.Expertly measures and interprets Vital Signs.Delivers exceptional Patient Care with empathy and professionalism.Strictly adheres to Infection Control guidelines and universal precautions.Maintains thorough understanding and compliance with HIPAA Compliance regulations.Performs Phlebotomy with accuracy and patient comfort.Excels in Clinical Documentation, ensuring clarity and completeness.Competently performs Medication Administration tasks.Applies comprehensive knowledge of Medical Terminology.Skilled in performing and assisting with ECG/EKG procedures. Preferred Qualifications Holds additional certifications relevant to clinical practice.Possesses experience with specific EHR platforms used within our organization.Speaks additional languages, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations. Physical Requirements/Work Conditions Stands, walks, and moves frequently throughout the workday.Lifts and positions patients and equipment, requiring moderate physical exertion.Works in a fast-paced clinical environment, which may involve exposure to various medical conditions and bodily fluids.Possesses fine motor skills for precise tasks like phlebotomy and medication preparation.Maintains visual acuity and hearing for accurate patient assessment and communication.
