    Medical Assistant (Certified)/experienced CNA

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Please note that this position is an essential part of our patient care team, to provide consistent and dedicated care to our patients as a long-term teammate.
    • Provides courteous and friendly service to all patients and contributes to a positive team-based work environment.
    • Facilitates good patient care under the supervision of a physician.
    • Prepares patients for examination and treatment.
    • Prepare exam room with necessary equipment and supplies.
    • Assists with the scheduling of tests and treatments.
    • Maintains patient records and other information General Skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a stressful environment reacting calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
    • Ability to work as a team player - recognizing that each person's contributions are integral to the delivery of excellent patient care.
    • Clinical Skills: - accurate vital signs (Blood pressure, Radial pulse, Temperature, Height, Weight) - Infection Control: PPE, Handwashing, Sharps containers, Biohazard disposal.- Equipment Use and Maintenance (Ophthalmoscope/Otoscope, O2 saturation monitor, Thermometer).- Electronic medical record access patient's chart, physician schedule, tasking Rx refills/authorizations, lab results, record vital signs, medications, imaging results. Phlebotomy as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Completion of and certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program/school.
    • Or experienced Certified Nurse Assistant with clinical skills equivalent to those described above.
    • Experience preferred: 2-3 years.
    • Current CPR certification or obtain within 4 months of hire.
    • Working Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, push, and/or carry up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally is required.
    • Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time is required.
    • Spanish-speaking is a plus.

    Hours: Full-time 32-40 hours per week. Our clinic hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our staff work the four-day work schedule that their assigned provider works.

    Additional Notes: This job location is in our Provo office. On occasion staff are asked to work at one of our satellite office locations, currently American Fork and Lehi, in order to provide needed coverage.
