Job Title: Medical Assistant Location: Stoughton, WI 53589 Duration: 6+ weeks (Possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $24/hourly
Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support for both front and back-office operations. Responsibilities include patient intake, scheduling, phone support, taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, administering vaccines, and assisting with various clinical procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in occupational health and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare staff to deliver quality patient care.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist patients while ensuring a positive patient experience
Perform patient rooming, including collecting medical history and recording vital signs
Schedule appointments and manage front-office administrative tasks
Answer incoming calls and provide appropriate assistance
Perform blood draws (phlebotomy/venipuncture)
Administer vaccines and provide clinical support as needed
Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Support daily clinic operations and collaborate with healthcare team members
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification strongly preferred
BLS or CPR certification required
Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Experience with:
Front and back-office operations
Phlebotomy/venipuncture
EKG procedures
Point-of-care testing (POC)
Patient scheduling
Patient rooming and vital signs collection
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
