Under the direction of a health care provider, Medical Assistant is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of our patients.

The Digestive Health Center Medical Assistant is primarily responsible for providing pre-procedure instructions to patients, with the majority of the role focused on telephone communication and patient outreach. This position plays a key role in preparing patients for upcoming procedures and ensuring they have the information for a safe and successful experience. Following completion of orientation, this position is eligible for a hybrid/remote work arrangement.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (MA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) - Certificate, Diploma or Associate's Degree as applicable - OR - certified or registered as a CMA, RMA, CCMA, EMT-B, EMT-I, or LPN

License/Certification:

  • Certified or registered through one of the following:

  • American Association of Medical Assistants

  • American Medical Technologists

  • National Healthcareer Association

  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians

  • Or

  • LPN licensure within state of practice.

  • Cert Basic Life Support

Experience:

  • Computer data entry experience
