Job SummaryWe are seeking a
Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by viewing charts and notes before their arrival. The Medical Assistance performs daily task to ensure high-quality patient care, efficiency and compliance with clinical standards. This role includes supporting providers, and promoting a safe and organized clinical environment. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Responsibilities
· Support Provider and Physician Assistants
· Help train New Hires/ Students
· Maintain policy compliance/workplace ethic
· May need to adjust workloads, and support staff to maintain efficient patient flow
· Check messages on back-office voicemail line
· Faxes and scanning are complete -
must be completed immediately / same day of visit· Make sure injections are logged appropriately
· Room patients
· Complete tasks / orders / procedures
· Ensure all rooms are clean
· Clean instruments
· Keep supply list up to date on what is needed to order
· Make sure breaks times apply with state law
· Check Schedule for the week to make sure we have supplies needed for appointment
· Patient Vitals and Questions
· Diagnostic Testing
· Spirometry
· EKG
· Wound Care
· Ear Lavage
· Order Labs / DME / Imaging
· Referrals
Qualifications
· Fluent Spanish strongly preferred
· High school diploma or equivalent
· EPIC experience preferred
· New Grads with formal MA training at a credit school preferred
Skills and Competencies:· Strong communication
· Excellent organization and time-management
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced clinical setting
· Knowledge of standard clinical protocols, safety protocols and infection control
· Problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain professional under pressure
