Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in El Paso, TX 79935
 
Job Details: 
Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Location:  El Paso, TX 79935
Job Type: Local Contract
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Pay Range: $21.00 to $23.00/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  
 
Duties: 

• Provide direct patient care and support physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures.
• Escort and room patients in a timely manner while ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document vital signs, vision screenings, and other authorized clinical assessments.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, ensuring accurate labeling and laboratory processing.
• Process specimens for transport and maintain proper documentation in EPIC.
• Prepare electronic prescriptions for physician review and processing.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain clinical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
• Communicate patient needs and concerns effectively to the healthcare team.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and organizational policies.

Requirements: 

• Education: High school diploma or GED 
• Certification(s): : Current Medical Assistant Certification and BLS
• Years of experience: Minimum 1 year
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Microsoft Office: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook EHR/EMR Systems Practice Management Systems
  Medical Records Management
• Required: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
