    Position Summary
    We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant (MA) to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, including assisting with dermatologic procedures, patient intake, documentation, and care coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Duties

    • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures (e.g., biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy)
    • Assist providers during dermatologic procedures, including sterile setup and instrument handling
    • Perform patient intake: record medical history, medications, allergies, and chief complaints
    • Take clinical photographs and assist with documentation in the EMR
    • Provide post-procedure care instructions and patient education
    • Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain exam room readiness
    Administrative Duties

    • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
    • Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription processing
    • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
    • Coordinate lab specimens and pathology tracking
    • Support front desk operations as needed
    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; MA certification preferred
    • 1+ year of clinical experience, dermatology experience strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with EMR systems
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
    Compensation: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour
