UT Internal Medicine - Pellissippi is seeking enthusiastic and qualified applicants for a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our patient-centered primary care team. This is a great opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while working in a supportive, collaborative clinic located in the fast-growing Northshore area of West Knoxville.

What You'll Do
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our providers to ensure a seamless, compassionate patient experience. Daily responsibilities include:
- Assisting providers with patient care
- Rooming patients and obtaining vitals
- Performing point-of-care testing
- Assisting with minor procedures
- Coordinating scheduling and prior authorizations
- Obtaining pre-certifications for MRIs and CTs
- Communicating test results
- Building strong, professional relationships with physicians, teammates, patients, and families
Requirements
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior clinical experience preferred
- 6 months - 1-year Previous medical office experience
