Medical Assistant I - Urology
Granger Medical Clinic is seeking TWO compassionate and motivated full-time Medical Assistant Ito join our growing Urology team at our American Fork location. Pay Scale: $18–$20/hour, depending on education and experience; 36 hours per week
Overview:
As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include patient intake, telephone triage, insurance authorizations, vital signs, immunizations, phlebotomy, exam room preparation, and administrative support.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional, courteous, and compassionate demeanor with patients and staff
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and computer skills
- Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking required)
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Answer phones, greet patients, and schedule appointments
- Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Obtain prior authorizations for medications and procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed
- Record vital signs, medications, allergies, and relevant medical information
- Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments and follow-up needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
- Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred
- 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent repetitive motion involving computers and office equipment
- Work performed in a climate-controlled clinical setting
