Job Summary and Qualifications

Working as a Medical Assistant for HCA HealthONE is an important part of our success. HCA Healthcare is dedicated to the growth and development of our employees. Here is some of what you can expect from being a Medical Assistant with us:  

  • You will be responsible for assessing the needs of patients and must be able to distinguish between emergency and non-emergency situations and prioritize accordingly.  
  • You will document all activities in the medical record neatly and appropriately.  
  • You will maintain medical equipment and supplies for the clinic, and a professional and workable relationship with providers.  
  • You will screen and contact potential new patients for collecting and documenting information in the office database.  
  • You will manage the front desk serving as a receptionist welcoming patients and family members in a professional manner, registering patients, verifying insurance, answering phones, scheduling diagnostic studies and other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Nurse Practitioner.  

Qualifications you will need for this role:  

  • MA Certified, 
  • MA work experience.  
  • BLS is required.  
  • Previous medical office  services/clinic experience required.  
  • Knowledge of scheduling  
  • Administration task desirable
