Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant - Clinic to support our client's healthcare team in Irving, TX.

Job Details:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Location: Irving, TX 75038
Job Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Pay Range: $21.00 to $23.00/hour on W2*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  

Duties:

• Organize the clinical environment and provide support to physicians, nursing staff, and other clinical team members.
• Assist with patient care, identify patient needs or concerns, and communicate relevant information to the provider or clinical team.
• Provide quality customer service while maintaining patient privacy, confidentiality, and infection control standards.
• Perform clinical and administrative duties within the Medical Assistant scope of practice and under provider supervision.
• Complete required training and follow established policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Certification(s): Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification, or ability to obtain certification within 180 days of employment; current BLS certification through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or Military Training Network
• Years of experience: 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Basic computer literacy, intermediate Excel skills, medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding knowledge preferred, strong communication and customer service skills, ability to respond calmly in emergency situations
• Preferred: Bilingual skills

Additional Information:

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs. with assistance; stand for extended periods; use fine motor skills to operate equipment; and perform basic and complex problem-solving tasks.
• Dress Code: Grey or navy scrubs
• Travel: No additional travel between locations required
• Patient Setting: Clinic-based
• Interview: In-person preferred at the clinic
