Are you looking to gain hands-on clinical experience while making a meaningful impact on patients lives?

Our growing Interventional Pain Management practice is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant or EMT to join our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced healthcare professionals as well as recent graduates, gap-year students, or individuals pursuing careers in medicine, nursing, physician assistant studies, or other healthcare fields.

In this role, youll work side-by-side with physicians, assist with patient care, document medical visits, and help ensure an exceptional patient experience. We provide comprehensive training in pain management and value team members who are dependable, compassionate, and eager to learn.

What Youll Do

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication reconciliation at every visit.

  • Prepare patient charts by gathering MRI reports, referrals, imaging, and other pertinent medical records.

  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

  • Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) while maintaining excellent grammar and attention to detail.

  • Educate patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.

  • Process referrals, prior authorizations, and provider-directed clinical documentation.

  • Monitor patient portal messages, clinical tasks, and provider inboxes to ensure timely patient communication and follow-up.

  • Coordinate cardiac and medical clearances for ambulatory surgery center procedures.

  • Prepare and stock exam rooms while maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.

  • Assist with patient check-out and scheduling to maximize clinic efficiency.

  • Support quality initiatives including MACRA/MIPS documentation requirements.

  • Monitor daily emails and complete administrative duties including faxing, phone calls, and clerical support.

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow all infection prevention and clinic safety standards.

  • Collaborate with providers and teammates to deliver exceptional patient care.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment.

  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.

Preferred

  • Medical Assistant, EMT, CNA, or other healthcare certification.

  • Previous experience in a physician office, urgent care, emergency department, or specialty practice.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and EMR documentation.
