    Description

    Serves as the patient's main point of contact. Assists in examination, treatment and follow up of patients under direction of Provider or Registered Nurse (RN).

    Salary: $17.00 per hour(base Salary)

    Responsibilities /Duties

    • Performs and records in ECW, a comprehensive intake on every patient that includes:
      • Complete chief complaints/HPI
      • Measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, respiratory rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, weight, and height, head circumference in children, and last menstrual period for females. Blood pressure should be taken on every patient, and this includes, pediatrics and sick visits above the age of 3.
      • Performs hearing and vision for all physicals starting at the age of 3 and records information on patients' charts
      • Update information in patient's chart which includes past medical history, surgical history, social and family history, current medications and allergies. OB/GYN history should be taken on all female patients.
      • Ensure any diagnostic screenings are completed and ready for review (PHQs Risk Assessment, sexual history, etc)
    • Completely prepares treatment rooms in between examination of patients, which includes, but is not limited
    • Pre-visit planning as per protocol. Initiates patient reminder phone calls and missed appointment follow-up activities. Also, after carefully reviewing patient visit logs, initiates phone calls to remind patients and prompt them to make any appointments that are overdue, will be due, or are for follow-up appointments based on chronic care disease protocol and provider recommendations.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/Skills Required

    • Medical Assistant Certification is REQUIRED
    • Diploma from Medical Assistant Program/School (REQUIRED)
    • CPR/BLS Certification ( REQUIRED)
    • EKG and Phlebotomy certification
    • Ear irrigation and Spirometers
    • EMR System experience
    • 1 years of experience in Primary Care Setting Preferred
    • Bilingual (Spanish) or (Arabic) (prefer but not required)
    • Full time with flexible schedule
    • High customer service skills
