Neurosurgery practice is looking for a part-time medical assistant who is detailed oriented and reliable and can travel to our two locations. This position may lead into full-time. ResponsibilitiesÂ
Prepare medical records prior to appointments and ensure all pertinent information, such as lab results and reports, are in the file prior to the physician’s visitÂ
Manage physician schedule to make more productiveÂ
Perform a range of basic office support, not limited to answering phones and triage patient’s phone calls, routine clerical data entry, and scanning documentsÂ
Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instrumentsÂ
Prior authorizations for office visits, procedures, and testingÂ
SkillsÂ
Proven working experience as a medical assistant with 1-2 yrs experience Â
Knowledge of medical office management systems and proceduresÂ
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workÂ
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
Strong organizational and planning skillsÂ
Detailed orientedÂ
Able to work independently and as a team playerÂ
Travel to our two locationsÂ
Knowledge of medical terminologyÂ
Knowledge of eClinical Works a plus
