About the Role: Palm Tree Interventional Pain Management in St. Cloud, FL is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients managing chronic pain, working alongside skilled specialists in a supportive clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and interventional pain management procedures
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories accurately in the EMR system
Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sanitation and stocking of supplies
Administer injections, collect lab specimens, and perform other clinical duties as directed
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals and prior authorizations
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical best practices
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
Prior experience in a medical office, pain management, or specialty clinic setting is a plus
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs and injections
Excellent communication, organization, and patient care skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
CPR/BLS certification preferred
