Medical Assistant (Certified) – Vera Whole Health
How will you make an impact & Requirements
Take manual vital signs, complete system reviews, and document in the EMR
Perform point‑of‑care testing and assist with diagnostic procedures
Administer immunizations, injections, and oral medications for all ages
Perform phlebotomy; prepare and process labs, swabs, and specimens
Support patient education and track preventive care needs
Coordinate care with specialists and case management programs
Maintain sterile technique and prepare exam/procedure rooms
Assist with front‑office tasks when needed (phones, scheduling, registration)
Manage inventory and maintain fully stocked clinical areas
Participate in team huddles, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
Travel to nearby sites for coverage as needed
High School diploma or GED
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Active Medical Assistant certification (AAMA preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant (primary care or urgent care preferred)
EMR documentation experience
Ability to maintain sterile technique and support office‑based procedures
Understanding of immunization administration for all ages
Strong communication skills and a patient‑centered mindset
Hep B vaccination or proof of immunity
Negative TB test within 12 months
Current CPR/BLS certification
Annual influenza and COVID‑19 vaccinations per company policy
