We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our patient care operations, assisting healthcare providers with clinical tasks and ensuring our patients have a seamless experience from check-in to discharge.
While we value clinical experience, certification is not required for this position. We are looking for a candidate with a strong working knowledge of patient care, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Intake: Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and documenting chief complaints.
Clinical Support: Assisting providers during examinations and minor procedures.
Administrative Duties: Managing patient records, scheduling follow-up appointments, and handling front-desk inquiries as needed.
Lab Work: Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens and performing basic in-house tests.
Sanitization: Ensuring exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and prepared for each patient.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least 1 year of previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting as a MA is required.
Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software and basic office technology.
Compliance: Must have a thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
Communication: Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and staff.
