Job Summary
At Mass General Brigham Express Care, we are committed to delivering convenient, high-quality care to our patients when they need it most. As a Medical Assistant Lead, you will play an important role in supporting exceptional patient care, leading clinical workflows, and serving as a trusted resource for the Medical Assistant team at our Westwood location.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys mentoring others, improving processes, and helping create a positive, collaborative clinical environment. The Medical Assistant Lead combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, providing guidance and support to the clinical team while partnering with providers and operational leaders to deliver an outstanding patient experience.
Schedule:
The schedule consists of working 3, 12.5-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday). Since Express Care is a 7-day-per-week operation that delivers care during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays, the schedule for this role will require 2 on-call shifts per 4-week scheduling period, weekend, holiday coverage and the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
The primary location I 90 Brigham Way, Westwood, MA.
We do our best to keep all employees at their assigned centers; however, for on-call shifts, employees must be able to commute to any of our locations, including Brookline, Newton, Lynn, Natick, Westwood, and Woburn. You may also be asked to report to any of these centers during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes).

About the Role
The Medical Assistant Lead provides daily leadership and oversight of Medical Assistant staff and clinical operations under the direction of the Practice Manager. In addition to performing Medical Assistant responsibilities, this role serves as a role model, mentor, and clinical resource for the team.
The Medical Assistant Lead supports efficient practice operations by coordinating workflows, facilitating communication, assisting with staff development, and helping implement clinical initiatives that improve quality, safety, and the overall patient experience.
