BLS, CMA

Mandatory Experience:

Urgent Care Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
Schedule: 2x12hr + 2x8hr (Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat /// OFF Sun, Tues, Wed)
- Monday: 7:45a - 8:15p
- Thursday: 7:45a - 8:15p
- Friday: 9:00a - 5:30p
- Saturday: 7:45a - 4:15p
Experience: 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting
Weekend REQ: Yes, every Saturday (OFF Sundays)
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Vital Signs:
- Height/Weight
- Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
- Obtain Vital Signs
- Pulse Oximetry
- Vision testing
Prepare for Exam:
- Record History/Medications/Allergies
Set Up and Assist with Procedures:
- Nebulizer Treatments
Injections:
- Immunizations
- Intramuscular
Specimen Collection:
- Labeling of specimens
- Throat
- Urine - UA/Clean Catch
Laboratory Tests:
- Blood Glucose via Glucometer
- Pregnancy
- Strep
- Urine Dipstick/Urinalysis
Office Duties:
- Stocking Supplies
Professional Knowledge and Skills:
- Administering Medication
- Ear Lavage
- Rooming Patients
Type of Facility: Urgent Care Clinic
Charting: EPIC (experience REQUIRED)
