Medical Assistant (MA) - ENT Dept

An ambulatory care center in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant to support an ENT practice with patient flow, clinical support, and front-to-back office coordination. This role is well suited for a certified medical assistant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting and providing attentive patient care.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day

• Schedule: Monday to Friday

• Hours: 9am to 5pm (occasionally 8am to 4pm on Fridays)

• Setting: Ambulatory care center

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, coordinate patient flow, and help ensure an efficient and positive visit experience

• Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for visits, and support the physician during examinations and procedures

• Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, point-of-care testing, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record

• Perform pre-visit planning, assist with reminders, and support referrals, scheduling, and routine patient follow-up

• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies, including cleaning, sterilizing, stocking, and supporting infection control standards

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a hospital or physician office setting

• High School Diploma / GED

• Medical Assistant certification required

• CPR certification required

• Experience with EKGs and phlebotomy

• Ability to speak, read, and write English as required by the role

• Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills

Desired Skills:

• Associate's degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a clinical practice

• Phlebotomy certification

• EKG certification

• Experience in ENT or with high-level disinfection and instrument sterilization

• Experience working with diverse and multilingual patient populations
