Medical Assistant (MA) - OBGYN Dept

An ambulatory care center in Brooklyn, New York is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support an obstetrics and gynecology practice in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role focuses on patient flow, clinical support, and accurate documentation while delivering professional, compassionate care.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift

• Schedule: Monday - Friday

• Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm

• Setting: Ambulatory Care Center

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, monitor patient flow, and coordinate rooming to support an efficient and positive visit experience.

• Take vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and assist providers during procedures as needed.

• Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and documentation in the electronic medical record.

• Support pre-visit planning, patient outreach, referrals, scheduling, and routine phone inquiries.

• Maintain exam rooms, procedure areas, supplies, equipment, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Assistant.

• Phlebotomy experience.

• Ability to take vital signs and assist with procedures.

• Prior experience working in an OBGYN, general gynecology, gynecology specialty, or urology setting.

• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

• Strong multitasking skills and reliable, professional, team-oriented work habits.

Desired Skills:

• Associate degree or equivalent clinical training and experience.

• CPR certification.

• Bilingual
• EKG training or certification.
• Experience with hysteroscopy.

• Experience using electronic medical record ems and patient registration systems.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
