    Description

    Title: Medical Assistant - MA

    Location: Ridgewood, New York  

    Pay Rate: $25 - $28 (starting hourly rate is $25 per hour, after 90 days of employment you have the ability to earn up to $28 per hour)

    Employment Types: Full-Time and Part-Time

    Schedule: Various days and times 

    Full-Time Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision (with company contribution), PTO Paid Time Off, 401k

    Position Overview:      

    • You will be providing DocGo services in New York City by monitoring and providing directed treatment common to complex injuries and illnesses.   

    • Each day, you will drive to patients’ homes to provide patient care.   

    • While at a patient’s home, engage in guided assessments and provide treatment under the supervision of an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for patients facing barriers to accessing the traditional healthcare system

    • Throughout the treatment process, maintain patient medical records and documentation consistent with state regulations, DocGo standards, and policy through our EMR system  

    • You will be practicing under direction with synchronous telemedicine support  

       

    Responsibilities:     

    • Act as a conduit for the medical treatment of the Health Plan Partnerships patient population   

    • Navigate conversations related to management of health, well-being, medication management, and goals of care  

    • Provide supervised, directed treatment of common medical diagnoses  

    • Participate in continuing education as required by the state where you reside and the DocGo training team  

    • Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics

    • Provide care with cultural sensitivity and compassion    

    • Lead your practice with a patient-centered approach 

    • Other related duties as deemed necessary   

    Qualifications:     

    • Must have one of the following certifications: MA, CMA, CCMA, or RMA. (Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant). 

    • Valid Driver's License in state of residency with 2+ years of driving experience, and an acceptable driving record 

    • Must have minimum 2 years of recent in-person experience as a MA, CMA, CCMA, or RMA in an Urgent Care, Primary Care, or related setting   

    • Phlebotomy experience  

    • Active and current American Heart Association BLS  

    • Ability to lift & carry 30-40lbs in a backpack style equipment bag

    • Clinical work experience with pediatrics, preferred  

    • Fluent bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
