Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in a 38 bed withdrawal management unit. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting medical professionals and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients undergoing withdrawal. This position will involve both clinical and administrative responsibilities to facilitate efficient operations within the unit.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is advantageous
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures relevant to withdrawal management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:
- Welcome and prepare patients for their treatment within the withdrawal management unit
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures specific to withdrawal management
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately
- Conduct basic procedures as needed for patients in withdrawal
- Update and maintain patient medical records with attention to detail
- Coordinate patient appointments and address inquiries efficiently
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the unit
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations applicable to withdrawal management units
