***Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is REQUIRED; Cannot be a Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R), Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P), or Medical Assistant-Hemodialysis Technician (MA-HT). ***This position is open to LOCAL and NON-LOCAL candidates. ***This is a TEMP TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY. ----- Infectious Disease Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) - Edmonds, WA - Schedule: 5x8hr, 0830-1700 (Monday - Friday // OFF WEEKENDS) - Experience: 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting - Skills Required: VITAL SIGNS (Height/Weight, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Obtain Vital Signs, Pulse Oximetry, Vision testing ), PREPARE FOR EXAM (Positioning/Draping, Record History/Medications/Allergies), SET UP & ASSIST WITH PROCEDURES (Dressing Change, Pap Smear, Set up aseptic / sterile procedure trays), INJECTIONS (Immunizations, Intradermal, Intramuscular), SPECIMEN COLLECTION (Labeling of specimens, Sputum, Stool, Throat, Urine - UA/Clean Catch, Vaginal, Wound), LABORATORY TESTS (Strep, Urine Dipstick/Urinalysis), OFFICE DUTIES (Authorization Forms, Chart Preparation, Insurance Verification, Ordering supplies, Pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, Scheduling appointments, Stocking Supplies, Telephone Triage), PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE (Administering Medication, Administration of TB Test, Aseptic Technique, Follow up phone calls, Review Lab Tests, Rooming, Patients, Suture Removal, Wound care) - Certs REQ: BLS - License REQ: MA-C - First-timers accepted: Yes - Weekend REQ: No - Is on-call REQ?
