Pay: $23/hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday + 1-2 Saturdays/month
We are seeking a
Medical Assistant to join a busy specialty healthcare practice in Melville. The ideal candidate has strong patient service skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
ScheduleMonday-Friday, generally between
7:30 AM-5:30 PM, with
1-2 Saturdays per month from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. Exact hours may vary based on the physician's schedule.
Responsibilities- Greet and room patients
- Obtain and document medical histories and patient information
- Assist providers with exams and procedures
- Perform basic in-office testing and prepare specimens
- Document visits, treatments, and test results
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and sterile instruments
- Provide patient instructions as directed
- Follow HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
- MA program completion or CMA/RMA certification preferred
- Epic experience preferred
- Candidates with a Bachelor's in Biology, EMT certification, or 5+ years of continuous MA experience may also qualify
- Strong communication and patient service skills
