Medical Assistant - Occupational Health

Our Occupational Health department, The Work Connection,is seeking an experienced Medical Assistantto perform duties within the scope of responsibility of a medical assistant with additional tasks related to patient flow in the office. Duties include, but are not limited to, escorting patient into the clinical area, taking vital signs and documenting them in the patient record; obtaining history of the current visit and documenting information in the patients record; blood draw and injections; assisting with the scheduling and registration of clients. REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate or equivalent; successful completion of a Medical Assistant schoolwith ABHES or CAAHEP accreditation; must be registered/certified within six months of hire with one of the following: RMA/AMT, CMA/AAMA, or CCMA/NHA; abilityto read, write and communicate in English. Two years of general experience as a medical assistant in a patient care or clinic environment preferred; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred; Our competitive salary package is adjusted to align with a candidates relevant experience and skills.
