Medical Assistant – Ophthalmology (Training Provided)

Job description:

Retina Centers of Alabama is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team (training provided). 

As a Medical Assistant in our practice you'll be required to:

• Be highly motivated and willing to grow with the practice in a long-term position
• Receive comprehensive, hands-on training to develop the knowledge and skills needed to perform this role
• Learn to obtain and document general work-up of patient (record, review, and verify complete patient medical/ocular history, chief complain, visual acuities, lensometry, EOMs, pupil assessment, manifest refraction, basic slit lamp exam, tonometry, instilling ocular medications)
• Become proficient in using EHR systems and other computer-based applications
• Demonstrate accurate and efficient typing skills
• Be able to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
